Ranchi, Sept 27: Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) has launched its CSR initiative “CCL Vidya Sarathi-2026”, under which 400 students will receive free coaching and academic guidance for JEE and NEET examinations for two years.
The programme was inaugurated at CCL’s Lal Hostel in Gandhinagar, Ranchi, and simultaneously introduced at 10 DAV training centres located across the company’s command areas.
The initiative will provide selected students with subject-specific classes, study material, digital learning facilities, regular tests and assessments, along with continuous academic support.
The programme is aimed at helping talented students prepare for national-level competitive examinations and pursue higher education in engineering and medical fields.The 10 participating DAV training centres are located in Kujju, Barkakana, Dhori, Giridih, Rajrappa, Kathara, Ranchi, Argada, Hazaribagh and Piparwar.
At the Ranchi centre, 60 students have been selected for the programme. The students attended the inaugural event with their parents and guardians.
Addressing the students, CCL Director (Human Resources) Harsh Nath Mishra stressed the importance of discipline, hard work and consistent efforts in achieving academic goals. CCL Chief Vigilance Officer Pankaj Kumar said proper guidance, regular practice and confidence could help students move towards their aspirations.
General Manager (CSR) S.S. Lal, General Manager (Welfare) Sanjay Kumar Thakur, representatives of the National Computer Saksharta Mission (NCSM), faculty members associated with CCL Lal and CCL Ladli, and other company officials were also present.
The programme is being implemented with support from NCSM and seeks to provide quality competitive-examination preparation to talented students from CCL’s command areas, including those from diverse social and economic backgrounds.
CCL said the initiative forms part of its broader CSR efforts aimed at expanding educational opportunities and supporting students through training, guidance and career-oriented programmes.
