Ranchi, Oct 26: Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDI) on Monday commenced Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 by administering an integrity pledge to employees, reaffirming its commitment to transparency, accountability and ethical practices in organisational functioning.

The week-long observance, being held from October 26 to November 1, follows the theme “Probity for Prosperity”.

CMPDI Chairman-cum-Managing Director Chaudhari Shivraj Singh administered the integrity pledge to employees. Following the ceremony, Singh, Director (T/P&D) Ajay Kumar, Director (T/RD&T, BD) Anand Mohan, Chief Vigilance Officer of CMPDIL and CCL Pankaj Kumar, Regional Director of RI-III, Ranchi, Kanchan Sinha, along with the General Manager (Vigilance), other general managers, heads of departments and employees, paid floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Addressing the gathering, Singh highlighted the significance of this year’s theme and CMPDI’s role as a credible organisation contributing to India’s energy sector. He stressed that the accuracy and reliability of mining-related data were crucial, as they formed the foundation for national planning and policy decisions.

He emphasised that integrity, transparency and an individual commitment to ethical conduct must guide both personal actions and organisational decisions. Such values, he said, were essential for strengthening institutional credibility and achieving sustainable prosperity.

Pankaj Kumar outlined the activities being undertaken by CMPDI as part of its three-month-long Preventive Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2026. He highlighted the importance of adopting new technologies and ensuring objective, impartial and unbiased decision-making, free from personal beliefs and preconceived notions.

He also referred to initiatives undertaken by CMPDI to strengthen transparency and accountability, including the introduction of biometric attendance for contract labourers.

As part of the observance, Singh, accompanied by the functional directors and the Chief Vigilance Officer, inaugurated a selfie point and led a walkathon to raise awareness about corruption and reinforce the collective commitment to integrity, transparency and probity.

CMPDI is observing the Preventive Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2026 from August 17 to November 16, with a focus on encouraging ethical practices and strengthening transparency and accountability across organisational operations.

The initiative aims to reinforce vigilance awareness among employees and promote a work culture in which integrity remains central to institutional functioning.
