Ranchi, Sept 28: The Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) on Monday appreciated the district police for swiftly solving a theft case involving a cigarette trader and recovering the stolen property.
According to the Chamber, the theft took place at the trader’s shop during the previous night. Following the incident, the Kotwali police launched an investigation and arrested two persons allegedly involved in the case within around 12 hours.
The stolen goods were also recovered, the Chamber said.FJCCI president Tulsi Patel spoke to the affected businessman over the phone and enquired about the incident.
She also assured him of all possible assistance from the organisation.Patel said the safety of traders and their commercial establishments remains an important concern for the Chamber.
She appreciated the prompt response of the Kotwali police and said the action had helped strengthen confidence among members of the business community.
She also urged the district police administration to increase patrolling in market areas to prevent similar incidents in the future.FJCCI general secretary Rohit Agrawal also praised the police team for acting without delay despite the incident occurring on a Sunday.
He congratulated the Kotwali police station in-charge and the personnel involved in the investigation.The police team, led by Kotwali police station in-charge Sanoj Chaudhary, reached the spot after receiving information about the theft and initiated an investigation.
The two alleged accused were arrested at around 2 am and the stolen property was subsequently recovered, the Chamber said.
The Chamber said prompt police action in such cases is important for maintaining the confidence of the local business community and ensuring the security of commercial establishments.
