Ranchi, September 13: Eligible citizens in Jharkhand whose names are missing from the draft electoral roll have been urged to submit Form 6 by September 15 to seek inclusion in the voter list under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR).Chief Electoral Officer K.
Ravi Kumar appealed to eligible citizens, particularly those who have recently become eligible to vote, to complete the application process within the prescribed deadline.Citizens can submit Form 6 along with the required declaration through ECINET or approach their respective Booth Level Officer (BLO) for assistance, officials said.
According to the electoral authorities, citizens who will attain the age of 18 by October 1, 2026, and meet the other eligibility requirements should ensure that their applications are submitted before the September 15 deadline.The CEO said the electoral roll prepared through the current SIR exercise could serve as an important reference for future revisions.
He also pointed to the mapping of voters with records from the 2003 SIR, which has enabled some electors and their children to receive exemptions from submitting certain additional documents.
A polling-station-wise review of Form 6 applications received up to September 13 showed that 75 of Jharkhand’s 31,892 polling stations had not received a single application.Ranchi district accounted for the highest number of such polling stations, with 62 locations reporting zero Form 6 applications.
At the assembly constituency level, the Kanke (SC) constituency had the highest number, with 52 polling stations yet to receive an application.
The review also showed that 5,591 polling stations had received between one and five applications, while 8,618 had received six to 10 applications. Another 11,329 polling stations had received 11 to 20 applications, 4,076 had received 21 to 30, and 2,203 polling stations had received more than 30 applications.
The Chief Electoral Officer has also asked recognised political parties to activate their BLA-2 representatives and encourage eligible citizens to register.
BLA-2 representatives have been asked to assist voters in submitting Form 6 either through ECINET or with the help of BLOs.With the September 15 deadline approaching, election authorities have urged eligible citizens whose names are absent from the draft roll to complete the registration process without delay.
