Jharkhand, Aug 15: Jharkhand Road Projects Implementation Co reported a 43.41 per cent decline in standalone net profit to Rs 16.65 crore for the quarter ended June 2026, compared with Rs 29.42 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The company’s sales remained largely stable during the quarter, rising 0.42 per cent to Rs 66.23 crore from Rs 65.95 crore in the June 2025 quarter. The marginal increase in revenue, however, was not enough to prevent a significant decline in profitability.

The company’s operating profit margin fell sharply to 25.14 per cent during the June 2026 quarter from 44.59 per cent in the year-ago period. The contraction in operating margins was a key factor behind the decline in the company’s overall earnings.

Profit before depreciation and tax declined 43.41 per cent to Rs 16.65 crore from Rs 29.42 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Profit before tax also fell by 43.41 per cent to Rs 16.65 crore from Rs 29.42 crore.

The company’s performance during the quarter indicates that revenue growth remained subdued, while weaker operating margins put pressure on earnings. As a result, the company recorded a substantial year-on-year decline in its bottom line despite only a marginal increase in sales.

The June quarter results underline the pressure on profitability, with the company needing to improve operating efficiency and margins to support earnings growth going forward.
